Sad Girl Summer has diverted hundreds of pounds of clothing from going to landfills.

This results in a huge environmental impact that keeps our home, our communities, and our water sources healthier.

Diverting just one pound of clothing saves about 3 to 4 lbs of CO₂e emissions. We also prioritize the reduce, reuse, recycle principles throughout our processes.

All paper waste is made into recycled paper goods, all plastic is carefully placed into eco-bricks, and we have plans to one day produce our own environmentally safe, natural dyes.

As Sad Girl Summer grows as a business, so will our efforts to mitigate environmental impact.

Maryland deserves a system where brands (not communities) shoulder the cost of textile waste.

Which is why we advocate for Textile Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) through our petition.

Through swaps, workshops, and public engagement, we mobilize residents to participate in policy change and build a more equitable future.
